I offered my friend a tutoring job at the Learning Center , since she does not have a job. ( I would think she would jump at the opportunity if she wanted to be a teacher)

My friend does not want to tutor, because she said she would get "frustrated", yet she wants to be a high school teacher. Should I tell her it is time for a career change?

If you get frustrated tutoring one kid, Imagine teaching 25 or 30!!!

She's also studying Chemistry, thats what she wants to teach, but she does not seem to enjoy it. What can I tell her?

She tells me Chemistry is really hard, and its boring!!

She tells me that she doesnt want to teach because she will get frustrated.

I want to tell her "Passion, not the paycheck"

That's stupid. Why would you study something you don't even like? She's surely going to regret it in the future. Is it too late for her to change her career major? If not then i suggest she do so right away. if she's thinks your butting in, then tell her that's what friends do when they see they're heading down the wrong direction.

If it pays the bills, one is certainly capable of it... As long as it is only temporary.

It's not like teachers make a lot of money now-a-days, anyway... There are so many other things she can do with a degree in chemistry. If she really hates it, talk to her about other exciting things she can do in the feild.

And if it's THAT hard and THAT boring (which I certainly don't agree with, I love chem), maybe she should think about doing something else with her career?

It is not your friend that is the problem it is the people in her life who do not give her a chance to breathe as herself but are forever pushing her to be what they define. She has been tortured by a modern world steeped in the poisoning of public information by those whose design is to throw the common man into eternal subjugation.

Do not take my word for it. Read The Times April 1944, Vice President Wallace on facism in the west.

She might 'want' to teach high school chem for bragging rights - sounds very impressive.

For me (can't answer for anyone else) it's the enthusiasm for teaching, not the subject. I had one class subbing in high school honors American History. The principle stopped in to check... and stayed. I was called back whenever they needed a sub.

yeah tell her that she shouldn't go through with that career if it's not something she loves ...oh and tell her teachers don't get paid very well anyways rofl

i'd get a new career, but if it pays the bills and that's what matters to her, then let her live her life

She can teach it, sure, but it sounds like she would be pretty unhappy.
