I do. I find that 70% of people ignore me, unintentionally or not. It makes me paranoid.

Although most of the time I prefer not being noticed so I can go about my business, I can sometimes feel that way in certain situations. My being older, mildly disabled and a bit full figured makes me a candidate for the "invisible soul" scenario quite often. The worst being when I am invited to social functions and am around acquaintances. I tend to get left alone and feeling shy and out of place. I sometimes end up at a table by myself watching everyone's purses and drinks while they are out and about enjoying the event. A few, (and I mean a few), folks just do not find us older/slower/wider farts worth the effort, I guess. Sometimes I ask or need a question answered in a group/forum, help in a store looking for things and trying to get info on products and services, and even better service at restaurants. Don't get me wrong, most folks are not that shallow out there and do show kindness and respect but there are some who just seem to only like the pretty people. If I cannot at least get some basic assistance when needed in a public sales place, I may walk out and take my business elsewhere, but not without a serious talk to the managers first. I may need a door held open for me or help to my car once and a while when my arms are full and walking with a cane, yet a few others think nothing of it as I leave a store. I often times get a door in the face and things fall to the floor. I have been pushed and shoved by children and even some adults while in lines or just going through doors. I walk with my cane often and get tussled about and have even been tripped or made to fall without as much as an "I'm sorry". Some people are not as likely to pay attention to those of us who do not fit into a category of a youthful, fashionable or healthier (looking) stereotype. Amazingly, we tend to blend in with our surroundings somehow. ???? How that is, I cannot figure. I seem to get better/kinder responses when I dress like I have lots of money, in nicer clothes and adornments. But, I do not like to have to dress up just to go to a mall or local grocery in order to be taken seriously. I have learned to live with it tho. You become immune after so long. HA HA HA!!!

I do. 90% of my contact members ignore my questions on my other account, makes me want to go into a dark room and re-enact the scene in Oldboy when Dae-su Oh acts like a dog.

quite the opposite - I'm often the center of attention. I wish I was invisible sometimes

No. Sometimes I'd like to be invisible as like dissapear. Right now my life has no purpose, and I'd rather not be here.

Nope. I am always out front. That's the type of personaity I was blessed with. I'm a real initiator

Yeah, I feel like that most of the time. It's not that bad, but sometimes you just need attention for something, you know?

If people don't want to listen to me, I feel invisible.

Sometimes I do, but I like it that way. I've never liked being the centre of attention.
