They dont like China and SK is not so famous, on the other hand Japan provides anime/manga to the western world and some games, so it's likey they're interested in Japan the most of all Asian countries?

Japan is the best known - because it supplies Nintendo and other forms of gaming console to the world - as well as a wealth of successful gaming titles. Plus it provides anime and manga to the western world - including a wealth of successful ones that spawned movies (Dragon Ball Z) The I-Pad came out of Japan.



Saying that - the only people who are uber interested is those people who are really into their anime and manga.



The 2008 Olympics put China briefly on the map - but with its thousands of human rights problems, it something that most people choose to ignore. Personally I find South Korea endlessly fascinating - considering it's capital is the most advanced place on earth.
