The compulsion to be worried about small cheildren and elderly is always justified. But a normal healthy person will get over the flu, OVER 300 americans die of flu every year, mostly the hight risk people. There seems to be knee jerk reactions to every crisis, like a scripted fool, Obama sent $1 billion package to fight swine flu, while a wise person will eat right, get enough sleep and take of oneself, it does not cost 1 billion and the whole ordeal will go away.

I'm not really that concerned. It kind of annoys me that people are obsessing over it.
BTW I hope your sister feels better. =)

If there's not a case in your area, don't be worried.
The Swine Flu is just another excuse for people to think the world is ending. It's way too hyped up.

A little.
I just want my school to close.
2009-04-30 12:54:19 UTC
I think its getting overrated.
People are always talking about it.
I was worried, but not as much now.
I think the media is taking it too seriously.
But, I hope it all blows over.

I wouldn't be concerned but cautious. This virus has potential to be a pandemic but currenly not as deadly as the Black Plague. I wouldn't be concerned about what your Bible says. Many historical moments can fit that description. After the Black Plaugue (>25% death rate), Europe entered its 100 year war. WWI spread Avian Flu. There's probably many more that I don't know about. It seems common that disease can induce war and war can spread disease. [edit] You don't sound rude at all! Rebuttle all you like. ;) The flu doesn't seem to have as much impact in America than it does in Mexico. While this puzzles scientists, it is probable that air pollution in Mexico has exaberated the problem - the couple hundred deaths. It's symptoms similar to the common flu. If you get it, take some rest, a few sick days, and see a doctor. But it isn't something as deadly as AIDs. I highly doubt it will be as deadly as other pandemics. Our society is much cleaner than hundred of years back. This lessens the impact.

<--- does he look concerned to u? psst no im not, even tho there already has been 3 cases in my region and supposably a kid died thus school was canceled for the whole week in the neighboring county. The news media just takes things out of proportion and amplify stuff so they can get views and thats y they probably told u all to stock up on food and water. So u will continue to watch their news glued to the tv for any updates. Its not to say u shouldnt worry, but all can b avoided if u avoid contact from peeps and that u wash ur hands with some germ x. Better safe than sorry. hope u took ur sis to the doctor for populated places such as schools is breedin ground for viruses.

Well... for my own and my family's sake, no. We live in America, therefore we are spoiled and well protected. As for the people in Mexico, I am extremely concerned. Mexico is a great place. I don't want to see anything bad happen :(
