If you were stranded on a desert island and could either have a ping pong ball or a plastic bottle cap, which would you choose and why?

i choose the ping pong ball cause i could use it as entertainment while awaiting rescue and becuase it can be used as a bobber for fishing. it can help you decide where the most level ground is at on wich to build your hut. also a ping pong ball can help you by forecasting the weather on the desert island. if the ball is wet, it is raining. if the ball is warm, likely to be a hot one. if there is snow on the ball, it is snowing. if the ball is moving, it is windy. a ping pong ball can also be used to make a makeshift compass and or clock. set the ball in full sun and mark the edge of the shadow it casts. about the time the shadow moves a hands width, one hour has past. subtract a finger for daylight savings. for a compass, use a coconut shell and add some water in it. put the ball in and set the shell on the sand. whatever edge the ball rests on or stops at is the direction of north.
