There’s some people who talk way too low, or way too loud. So as our Would You Rather questions come to an end, let us know which one you'd rather have!

I would rather whisper... but then again... what if I'm in a situation where I need help?? I'd have to shout for help! And if I could only whisper and I couldn't get someone's attention?? Hell no, I choose to shout! But... on any other day I'd whisper. :)

I would personally rather to prefer t whisper because then at least you wouldn't be shouting and screaming yours or anyone else's secrets out about a mile across the world.

Whisper. Everyone shouts, all go deaf. Won't even be able to hear a whisper.

I would take whisper b/c then I would utilize a 'stage whisper' to be heard..certainly talking loudly would damage the vocal chords, ability to get a job..and can you imagine shouting sweet nothings to your love one...ouch! Next you would be shouting in the divorce court.

Whisper. I hardly talk to anyone anyway, so it wouldn't matter much. Plus, only being able to shout would render talking to myself rather impractical as everyone would be able to hear what I'm saying.

People tend to strain to listen when you whisper, while shouting just pushes them away, so it depends if you want to be close to people or keep them at a distance. I'd prefer the former.

Whisper, b'coz it has / provides more Goodness than ' Shout '.

Only be able to shout. Most subtle things can be done via text, email, or just non-verbal communication. The only need to whisper in today's age is to talk about someone behind their back when you don't have your phone or you don't know the phone # of the person you're trying to talk to and can't text them. Shouting though will save lives if someone isn't paying attention and shouting will be the best way to be a public speaker (or so we saw). And most jobs require you to work quietly alone anyways; so its not like you'll be needing that voice of yours much anyways...

I would rather whisper because yelling at people a lot would get me in trouble and i could end up in a ditch with my mouth sewn shut

I would rather WHISPER than shout. Shouting is high on the list of pet peeves

Do not like shouting, stresses me ..if I am shouting its because I am upset, and who the heck likes the feeling of upset ? Answer; nobody does. Not a big mouth or shouter at heart,so to answer you, whisper.~*

I DO only shout now, so others tell me. It sounds normal to me, and I have a friend who I can't hear at all when she speaks. Another friend has to "translate" for her. I know why I speak up, my working in a library regardless.

shout because sometimes when someone's in danger, you need to yell - important. Whispering's less embarrassing but then I could just never talk

i would prefer the whisper as I am a soft spoken person. If you really attentively listen to someone, the whisper is enough to hear the person.

I used to talk in a relatively low voice. I think it was caused by some self-esteem issues. People would get angry at times because they couldn't figure out what I was saying. Thankfully, I've got more confidence nowadays and speak quiet confidently in public. Still don't feel the need to shout out in order to be heard though,

After having vocal cord damage, I can tell you that I'd prefer in between; however, of the 2 choices given, I'd have to choose yo whisper. My damage left me with a very low volume. I can get to a shout IF necessary. After somebody asks me to repeat myself numerous times, I try to get a little louder. Problem is, I ONLY have low & really high. When I go high, I invariably hear he words "well, you don't have to shout". I only have 2 options (1) barely above a whisper or (2) shout. It has been my experience that most of the general public prefers my whisper to my shout. The truth is that most people really don't care what you're saying & would rather NOT hear it than have to deal with it!!!
2014-10-01 06:09:54 UTC
Whisper because I think it's much better to be a quiet person than a loud one.Shouting all the time would damage my vocal cords and look, to be honest, a bit odd.

BOTH but it's circumstancial....if some one is very close to me there is no reason to talk loudly or shout but to whisper. If some one is 50-100 yards away then there's no use to whisper but to shout.

But mostly I like to whisper sweet nothing in my girl friend's ear
