How to deal with unfair professor?

I have to make up assignments because of an incomplete. I'm doing the assignments according to my notes(which are the only thing I have to go on since when I aske him to specify what he needed for the assignments he simply told me to refer to them.)So when I turn them in and he always sends them back(I think this is the 5th or sixth time) with some reason as to why it is incorrect and tells me to look at what I have turned in and find the error then resubmit.Problem is, he expects me to use concepts in the class that he hasn't taught . As time is running out I don't know what to do because I need this class to graduate and I'm trying so hard and I'm sure this work is correct. Also, another student is in this same situation in the class and even though it is a small class only one person passed so far. I really don't think this is fair. Should I go to my department dean?

This probably isn't the greatest category to post this question in. It's best if you had asked this in the Education section of Yahoo Answers because you'll receive more helpful advice over there, but I'll give my two cents.



If I were you, I'd try and talk to the other students in the class to see if they're in the same predicament as I am. If you see a pattern, then I'd probably approach my advisor to see what he thinks. After that, I'd report the problem to the Dean.

so that you've already lengthy gone for your professor and requested him to provide you extra guidelines? if so per chance you should bypass to the dean. or in basic terms bypass in there and meet including your professor, and tell him you're truly attempting to make your assignments acceptable, and ask if there are any particular issues incorrect with them. per chance some different person can answer extra effective, i'm no longer truly in college yet. wish I helped!
