Are Germans racists??????????????

Some German messaged me on YouTube saying I'm racist against my
own race for liking blacks. My profile pics Chris Brown and they said 'why did you choose to have a black woman beating ape as your profile picture over somebody of your own race?' I replied with 'So I'm racist against my own race for not being a racist now am I? You racist ret@rd. Nobody in my country likes Germans anyway and it's because of people like you, so p!ss off and stop messaging me before I block you, Hitler.' yeah so did I go a bit far there and are a lot of Germans racist? Thanks, also I'm white and from the UK.

As with any country there will always be racist people in it.

What you have to remember is that Germany was going through a horrible depression, one that made the United States look like the Promised Land. The Germans were defeated, poor, hungry, and more so - enraged. The political spectrum in the Weimar Republic was fragile, and on top of that, fascist governments are known for fradulent elections. All in all, only about 28% of the nation voted for the NSDAP, but state run media and powerful "persuasion" for other parties to not compete insured Hitler's rise to power. So no, Germans are not really racist by nature. Yes, there is some residual tension because of the horrors inflicted by the Nazi regime, but no more than any other minority in any other country.

so one german idiot who insulted you on youtube makes all germans racist? you're not really serious with this question, aren't you? at least i hope so, because exactly that would be racist. in fact, most germans today are very tolerant and open-minded people, contrary to many brits (sadly) who apparently think ww2 is still going on. if you don't know what i'm talking about just have a look at your media and your press. according to them, german panzers are still rolling across your country, seems like ww2 is the only association when it comes to "germany".

so why don't you just block this idiot youtube user along with his 3 little brain cells rather than generalizing all people who coincidentally hold the same citizenship? problem solved! ;)



now just a few words to subconscious pen: sorry if i pick out your answer, but you sound as if it's just 1950 in your mind. ww2 ended almost 70 years ago, germans of today were never ruled by nazis nor did it take entire 7 decades to "de-nazify" people from back then who were not even nazis for the most part. so which attitudes are supposed to remain? don't you know there is a difference between "german" and "nazi" or is it all the same for you? i hope not.

anyway, with your statement about our race relations progress that isn't as advanced as that of the oh-so advanced british obviously, you really made my day. hilarious! :D sorry, no offense, but when i think of your ww2-obsessed media and the general anti-german attitude in the uk, i just hope that in 20 years we are not where you are now. :)

Not wholly no. I have travelled around Germany and met a good number of young Germans, and they have always been very pleasant and open-minded about life and people. I think this is the way modern agermany is going, but ou have to remember that the country became multicultural a lot later than others in western Europe, so their race relations progress won't be as advanced as ours' is at the moment, but in 20 years time, they will probably be where we are now. However, they were ruled by he Nazis for 12 years, so attitudes still remain, and it will take time for them to be eradicated. Mindsets take time to be changed, and the required mindset change won't happen overnight, but it is happening slowly but surely.

No not all Germans are racist and you didn't have to be German to be a Nazi, any Europeans were considered 'Aryan' (without Slavic or Jewish ancestry).

I have been to Germany and I think they are Racist but not as bad as Americans or British.

and I also think it depends which city you go in Germany as well.

I think Some cities are more racist than others. But compare to other country, it's probably more racist.

Not all Germans are racist, but some are. This applies to every race... there's racists and non racists in every country.
