I think they rock! I have more confidence in going where I need to go across the country. I can travel anywhere and it's like you have a native sitting with you to direct you.

I know some people may not like them, but I tell you more than about 300 miles from my house, I'm not good with directions and I don't have to stop and read a map all the time with my GPS.

My youngest daughter gave it the name "Karen" because of its feminine voice as it calls out directions.

I think it depends on what sat nav u hav-Tom-Tom cant find my house-others can-

myself im quite good at finding places-quick glance at map and i have a rough idea of where im going-do9nt get lost very much!!x

Well, Smurfy, they probably saved my marriage! We drove down to Brighton from North Wales last year and got to within 200 yards of our friends home, then my wife directed me seven miles out of our way to Worthing, we then went back to Brighton and took another half hour finding their house, this year we drove up to their door, with not a cross word, to have "Joanna Lumley" say "You have reached your destination Darling!" lovely, I recommend them to every one!!!!

P.S. you need to be very good friends with your passengers to have Ozzie Osbourne (uncensored) doing the directions

god send apart from the voice john cleese does on mine, i didn't know he say's the word Ba#tard on it! with the kids in the car!! needless to say i use the normal voice now!!! lol

I'm sure that they would eventually get you to where you want to go but it's not always the quickest or the shortest route.

They can be a bit sketchy...but on the whole, they are a god send.

half the adventure is in getting lost! so why do you need to spend money a contraption when you can get lost for free!!!

Just got one, so far so good, the voice commands can't always be believed mind you..
