Someone I have been friends with for years on Facebook wants to send me money. Is it OK I gave him my e-mail address to use on Paypal?

Should I be worried about some kind of scam or being hacked, or do you think it's legit and safe to give out my e-mail address so he can send me money into my Paypal account?

1) You should always be concerned about scams and being hacked.
2) It's not for us to say whether we think it's legit. Suppose we did, how does that help you? We might be trolling you.
3) If you plan on going ahead, at least make a new Yahoo Mail/GMail/HotMail account and send this person that address. If they send you money, great! If that account gets a lot of spam, delete it with no worries. If they send you mail with attachments, do not open the attachments!

You are really an idiot! Do you really believe that person is actually a "friend"? Ever wonder why they want to know what your Paypal account number is?????? Maybe you need to ask a real friend before you do it.

No, don't give him your email address and yes, its a scam. Tell him to send you money by Western Union.
