I let nature and age take care of that... I would never EVER say this in person my sometimes my dad finds brand new (still has tags) clothing in the trash at rich people's houses and picks it up, brings it home washes them and vwoala! $80 jeans and you payed nothin for them except the cost of gas!

P.S. My family doesn't live on the streets or anything, we just like to save money when we can. And doing what my dad does is technically recycling because you are saving perfectly good stuff from the dump!

No, Rip Jeans aren't in style anymore here on OC California. We have nice clean jeans with somewhat faded front leg marks like this one-

But that is a good idea I guess! You must live on the East Cost right?

I used to like back in 1994.

I don't wear jeans these days. But yes I put my own rips in them. Not to make them look expensive though! To make them look grunge, lol.
2008-10-12 17:31:30 UTC
I have done a few different things, I have put rips in, I also use a cheese grater to get those little roughed up patches, Iv turned jeans into shorts, I have also bleached patches on jeans.

Its up to you what you can do, just don't over do it.
2008-10-12 17:32:48 UTC
Ahhh! You're making me feel bad!

I bought ripped jeans yesterday from Abercrombie! lol

Most of the time I rip them myself.

why would anyone rip their jeans? Just buy some levi's and wear the hell out of them, they're better than the crap at hollister etc

2008-10-12 17:34:05 UTC
yep, cause nothing says fancy and designer than pre-ripped jeans.

grunge died with the 90's, i guess when people figured out it takes a really long time to make yourself look like you just woke up.

once last summer when i grated it with this foot grater thing. that resembled a smaller cheese grater.

but then it looked cheesy after a couple wears. putting rips in them look even cheasier.

Yes because I weigh 289 pounds and my thighs rub together. I am as fat as a pig and I need to lose weight. Maybe you need to wash them before you try them on. I never that probably before. SORRY
