It seems that the yellow colored pencil always breaks when you put it in the pencil sharpener. Why is this? Is it something about the cheeryness of the color?

Actually, it doesnt break any more often than the other colors. However, you use it more often that the others, therefore need to sharpen it more, therefore it appears to break more. If you sharpened the others as much as you sharpened the yellow, they would break just as much. I think that you sharpen the yellow so frequently because its a bright color and needs to always be SHARP(that was PUNNY!!!!!), and you also like to color giraffes, so that could explain the frequent usage of the yellow. But gosh!, please don't blame Crayola for your coloring habits!..unless you don't use Crayola...then it is entirely possible that your yellows are defective.

yes. it is so cheery that the sharpener wants to show it that its not as cool as the other more emo colors.
