colored pencils...if you make a mistake, you can erase it (mostly) & fix it.

Depends on what you're going to write on (meaning the Paper). Unless you carry a sharpener with you at all times then pencils are out of the question: Let-alone Colored Pencils won't erase.

Markers are to messy. If you can find a thin marker you may be able to draw correctly because there are markers, even colored ones that will erase.

Crayons are useful if you are working on a simple idea such as a kindergarten pictures or like.

Completely depends. Crayons if you are dealing with little kids who will color their own lips with markers. You just have to watch that they don't eat the crayons. Colored pencils rock if you are coloring something with detail. My personal preference is marker outline with crayon or colored pencil inside the lines. The marker really makes the color POP! i like multi media...

Why you may ask?

Well, crayons are waxy and smear really easily..and I just don't care for the look they give.

Colored pencils..well, you have to keep the same amount of pressure all the way though. Otherwise one section is much darker than the other. And finally, markers are just freaking amazing(:

Crayons. I actually got down in the floor and colored with my daughter this morning. Side note: The Color Wonder Crayola markers are awesome for kids. No mess to clean off the walls, floor, doors, etc.

Liquidy, waxy, or pencil like print? I like colored pencils. Markers are too fat and leak through sometimes and get all over my hands. And crayons are too waxy and make a weird surface. But it really depends on what I'm using them for.
