I rarely read fiction, but when I do, it's usually a great murder mystery/detective/crime novel. I love Agatha Christie -- she's my all-time favorite mystery writer. But I also adore Conan Doyle and Jim Thompson. Kurt Vonnegut and William Faulkner are also in my top 5.

I haven't read fiction in a while but I did enjoy Dan Brown's realistic style of writing although I don't know many authors similar to him. For the most part I read non-fiction political literature.

Personally, I like the ones with really cheesy romance, only because when my hormones get out of control...
I also really like gory books, horror books, science fiction, and books like The Hunger Games where people are in an alternate universe where everything is different. I just like escaping.
