Why does no one answer intelligent the questions on this site?

I asked a question about an issue with my calculator and I get now answers. Then some person can ask a question about what kind of pizza people like and they get a ton of answers. My question is serious and I need an answer to be able to do my homework.

Because the majority of the questions suck....and the majority of the people do not know how to answer a real question.

Well, you need to do homework in real life cause it shows your intelligence and if you need help, ask your teachers and classmates! Plus, it really depends on what category your asking things in. If your in Polls and Surveys then you're not going to get any answers that are legit. Homework section is pretty boring and no one really gets answers so just do your homework the way everyone else does--in your room with an Asian nerd.

Well maybe not alot of people know how to fix a caculator, and the pizza question is no fun. Copy The URL and Then go to someones question..answer it..and then paste the URL in there, then they can go to your question and answer it,more people will see it, since the list of questions change like every 10 seconds

it depends on the person. it's not that serious. it depends on the section you go to. there are very deep, intelligent people in the philosophy section but people in polls and surveys are usually just bored or trying to have fun. some people are just more intellectual than others. some people just don't know how to expand their intellect beyond simple questions and conversations. your inference that no intelligent people come on this website just because you didn't get any answers wouldn't make you appear to be very intelligent. you look kinda stupid because you answer questions too so you would be implying that you are not an intelligent person. chill out.

Actually thinking about the answer to an intelligent question seems to elude many YA posters. They want quick easy two points, no brain cells expended.

I've complained about that for a year.

(I was a top contributor who answered a ridiculous question with a sarcastic answer that referred to an illegal computer search, Yahoo apparently has no sense of humor and cancelled my account.)

Hence the new account.

Well it's most likely because people don't know the answer on here. If your calculator is bugging out- your best bet is to phone the manufacturer. I wish I could help you! If I knew jack about calculators I would.

Well, most people just want a laugh, or easy points, but most of the time, I think the majority of us spend time in polls and surveys because you can rack up points without thinking, and most people avoid the sections that require that, or the questions that may require that.

2) think takes too much thinking

3) the phrasing of it is not 'eye catching'

4) they are the type to only answer dumb stuff anyway

5) they just want some entertainment and some points

People come here for fun usually..and well with the more serious questions, not everyone knows the answer to whereas everyone knows the answer about their favorite pizza.

And to answer your question: the reason is that not EVERYONE knows the answer to a question. We don't know everything and an easy question about "favorite pizza" is simple and of course everyone may know it.

It's always easier to answer stupid questions. what I do is put my questions that I think no one will answer in four different catagories, in one of the catagories i might get no answers, but in another i get 5.
