Has anyone called the cops to report barking dogs? HELP?

ok so if I call the cops on annoying barking dogs, and if the dogs stop barking by the time they get to the house... Do they(the cops) still talk to the owners? or do they just keep on driving if they don't hear anything?

I have a dog and if we left her unattended in the backyard she would bark her head off.. It's what she does.. We had to get a bark collar for her so we could leave her outside and NOT be a nusiance... It's annoying having barking dogs and we didn't want to be those kind of neighbors.. She's so used to wearing it that the battery has died but, she doesn't know that.. She thinks as long as she's wearing it that she should'n't bark ! We also had neighbors that had dogs that barked constantly usually at night and when we were trying to get the baby to sleep ! UGH..Annoying... I'd call the cops too !

Don't call the cops, your taking the cops away from there job and bringing them to your house for barking dogs, thats a no no. My advice go over to the owner and have a chat with them.

Yeah good question. I have a barking dog next door to me too yap yap yap such a pain in the neck, it's one of those little yappy dogs that barks at anything that moves. luckily I think it must stay inside at night cause it doesn't bark then, that would really drive me nuts. I just don't do anything really apart from telling it to shut up every now and then.

yeaa people do if they stop by the time they get there they will talk to the neighbours about them if the neighbours say they dont bark often and it is a problem or something like that you cant really do anything but you can try to tape record them for awhile so the police no how long they are barking for and do something about it.

i would recommend to just call them.

No, but if I had to, I would, because it's disrespectful for someone nearby to let their dogs bark all damn night when people are trying to sleep!

I don't think the police can do anything about noise problems anymore, all powers of those sorts were distributed between local councils who, in turn, choose to do nothing.

i think its mean that ppl call the cops on dogs cuz dogs cant help it and they dont know that its bothering anybody its like u talking and someone calling the cops on u lolz
