Harry potter vs. Twilight? Wizards vs. Vampires? Who would win?

Question

I got in an argument with a friend about who would win in a fight: Harry Potter or Edward? In the end it was Harry, of course. But it got me thinking, in a fight who would win Wizards or Vampires? I mean Wizards have magical powers and potions and stuff, plus they can aparate and fly, but vampires are super fast and super strong... they could move before the wizard's spell got to them. And how would a wizard kill a vampire?
Who do you think would win? What's better vampirism or wizard? If you had a choice which would you be?

The vampires would win. And I'm saying this without favoritism. Vampires are super fast and super strong. They also have powers like Jane's that is powerful. When you think of it logically, vampires hunt before they battle to strengthen themselves. When they're full, they can half control there thirst except for the newborns if you distract them with blood.



In my head, this is what happened when the vampires and wizards fought.



They were in a plain. Facing each other. The vampires with their newborns on the left while 1 kilometer away from them to the right was the wizards. The newborns then attacked. The wizards then jumped on there brooms and attacked too. Alec, who was secretly hiding, uses his talent and steal away their senses. The flying wizards crashed to the ground, panicking. Before they even knew what was going on, All the other vampires, specially Jane and the Vultori, killed them all and sucked there blood.

Harry Potter and Twilight can live in peace together. ... As long as Harry is the King - I mean Harry Potter has like magical dragons who can fly up. It is also a story on how an orphan can be the most powerful wizard ever. - Twilight is a whinny little girl who is in love with a stalker. Though to be fair - Harry Potter has awesome effects in movies - Twilight has awesome guys (werewolves only) in movies - Harry Potter cuts out way to much stuff - Twilight has kristen stewart the mumbling girl

Obviously the wizards would win, they can attack from far away while the vampires have to get up close. Plus it's super hard to kill a wizard--they bounce when they fall. They don't even need their wand, so they just, like, look at the vampire, and it's dead or whatever.

I don't really like Twilight, but I'll speak objectively. The vampires move to fast to be seen by human eyes, so unless the wizards develop a spell to slow them down or a potion to speed the wizards up, it will be a long exhausting fight with wizards finding and killing the vampires during the day and vampires massacring the wizards during the night. That is, unless the fangs are the wimpy sparkly kind. Then the wizards are ****** without the spell/potion.

Wizards vs. Vampires? If they are a wizard from HP, they can apparate before the vampire got to them. If they aren't a wizard from HP, then I think vampires would win.

I'd rather be a wizard. If I needed to hide it for whatever reason, it'd be much easier to hide than being a vampire.

Wizard who got turned would be great! If I had a choice I'd be a vampire,but mostly because of the immortality thing.

But imo the vamp would win,mostly because they can run really fast and quickly snap the wizards neck before they could finish casting a spell. Plus if it was Alice she could see there every move & Edward would be able to tell what they were thinking... Jasper could manipulate them into being scared etc.

I think it's a tossup....Danny Sheridan's Odds have the Wizards listed as a 3 1/2 pts. favorite.



But Jeff Sagarin's computer ratings have the Vampires coming in at 29.36, while the Wizards top out at 26.02....and that's just about 3 1/2 pts. the other way.

Actually between Harry Potter and Edward, Edward would probably win. It's nearly impossible to kill a vampire and Edward could read his mind to know when he was going to cast a spell and what it would be. So he'd just move out of the way, run with his super speed to Harry, and crush him dead. Same with any wizards vs. vampires war. Vampires would win. They're harder to kill.
