I post questions all the time on here b/c I have nothing better to do while at work. I, literally, sit at a desk all day, answer the phone once ever half hour, and ask everyone if they have anything for me to do, and they never do. Should I just get over the fact that I am bored @ work?? I am a worker by nature and it is hard for me to just sit around all day, I fell lazy.

Then just enjoy the boredom for now.. Atleast you have the internet to entertain you. You'd probably miss all the free time you had if you started getting so busy and stressed filled. :)

Tell your supervisor or whoever higher up that you want more responsibilities if you aren't happy being idle.

But seriously, you get paid to sit there! Enjoy it.

I know how u feel. I am currently doing an intern going into my senior yr in college. All i do is search the web and maybe out of 8 hrs do 1 and 1/2 hours of real work. I'll be so glad to get back 2 school. The pay is good though.

I think that you should look for a more satisfying job. One that you will like and not be bored at. You should work at Starbucks!!!! It's soooo much fun working there. I should know, I'm a supervisor there.

You're gaining valuable work experience. Make sure your resume is up-to-date and start looking for something a little more challenging. Good luck.

If you want something more interesting to do, then get a job that you really enjoy.

look around and see if there's anything you can do..update the phone list, clear up the filing, clean your pc, whatever.
