Kris Kristofferson, pumping gas in Malibu right next to me. Told him I'd last seen him in Madison Wisc about 15 years before that (at a concert, during his hard-core drinking days, he was drinking straight from the bottle onstage, was still a good concert). He replied "those were the bad old days", I replied "for some of us". Am still a fan of his, the guy was a Rhodes Scholar, ferchristsake.



Joe Theismann. Early am at a casino outside Seattle, I'm playin BlackJack. Joe was playin craps at a table all by himself, looking somewhat forlorn. I walked over and told him I just wanted to be able to tell my grandkids that I shook his hand. He smiled, we shook, and I left him a little happier than before we met.



The female lead in Wings, don't know her name, again playin blackjack in Lake Tahoe.



Same casino, Rony Seikaly (basketball star), I walked over and asked him if he was Vlade Divac, lol



Former governor of Wisc, Pat Lucey ( I think that was his name, not sure). Believe it or not, right across from us in a Pizza Hut. I bought him a beer.



Freddy (DownTown) Brown (basketball), at a nightclub outside Indianapolis, he was with a couple other players, he was rude as hell, James Edwards was nice.



The Six-Million Dollar man (forget his name), same place.



Jane Goodall (after a graduate seminar in Madison Wisc). Embarrased my girlfriend (anthropology major) by telling Jane that my gf was too shy to walk up by herself. Jane turned out the lights during the seminar and did some amazing chimp sound imitations.

The closest I've come to meeting a celebrity is the one time I met the lady from our local news channel. She was volunteering at our local animal shelter helping to get some doggies adopted. Not really a celebrity but at least she seemed like a nice person and an animal lover.

Met Alec Baldwin and Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise. I was working in a hotel in Mass. when Baldwin and Kidman were making "Malice". They stayed there for two weeks. Tom Cruise came about three days each week cause he was married to Nicole then. Rented a different car every day to not be recognized. They were all really nice to the staff. Rita Moreno was there at the same time, in some show in town. She was nice, too.

Hmmm....there are a few famous people that live in my area surprisingly enough. I live in a rather wet and gloomy enviornment.



So far we've seen (my family used to manage an asphalt repair company) Clint Black (country singer) after we laid asphalt down on a driveway nearby (he lives like 1/4 mile away from my house......or at least that's one of his houses).



I thought that was interesting. There have been others but I can't really remember their names anymore.

I lived in a place - that was a hot spot for movies. Met all kinds of stars - doing shoots on those little country roads in Sonoma (CA). Henry Winkler, Harrison Ford and Sally Field on one movie (Heroes?). Jimmy Stewart making a Lassie movie. Lassie (himself) who was off-leash and attacked my Shetland Sheepdog (who was on leash) - we were only trying to get our mail at the post office. And then I used to go to Star Trek conventions - and met that whole crew - from both generations. ♥
