Do any of you remeber those old school trapper keeper binders?

Question

I was sadly just talking with a couple of co-workers about them.

Did you guys have one? I remember saving up my money to buy one bc my mom thought it was crazy to pay so much for a plastic binder. lol.

I had this cool trapper keeper with a wolf on the cover and it had the velcro flap. (I was a tomboy when I was a kid).

Tell me about your trapper keeper. lol

I think it was a blue one but I covered the whole thing with stickers even though it was made of some fabric like material. And yea I was pretty tomboy too. I think they were like ninja turtles and power rangers. But then the next year in school they banned them. Remember the school supply lists? Well they wrote it in big bold print NO TRAPPER KEEPERS! I was devastated!

I remember having one with mountains and a rainbow hot air balloon. I think I probably had a second one but I can't remember what it would have looked like. I never had one with the cut-out hand grip (late 80s, early 90s). And no snaps, just velcro.



I found out a couple of months ago that there are new Mead Trapper Keepers; you can find them in stores now -- Staples and Walgreens are where I've seen them so far.

Haha, I loved my Trapper Keeper!!! I had forgotten all about it, but this question brought back memories.....Cabbage Patch dolls, Ghost Busters, Gremlins, Michael Jackson, jelly shoes, pegged pants, Eastland shoes with the laces coiled and safety pins with beads on them (friendship pins!!!)....the list goes one, boy those were the good old days.

Yea I used to have one of those too! Mine was purple with the Coca-Cola label on it and it also had the Coca-Cola Polar Bears =)

back when i was in school we wrote on bark with charcoal. didn't have trapper keepers.

I had a Lisa Frank one.................wow I feel really old now..........Things from when we were kids are all coming back, such as transformers & all.............We had the best things growing up!!!!!
