I ate venison last night...just now I realized I could've eaten Bambi, should I feel guilty?

Bambi has long since died of old age, so no worries there but venision is something I really do not want to ever try, since they really have no life before slaughter.

It's okey to eat deer meat. It's just protien. Bu then it would be a different story if you ate dog or cat's meat. Deers are not pets. Hence, it is just humane to eat their meat.
