When I hear stuff about pink floyds albums its always the wall, dark side of the moon and wish you were here but I never hear anything about the pre dark side of the moon albums like piper at the gates of dawn, atom heart mother, meddle, more and relics and I also never hear anything about the post the wall albums like the finale cut,a momentary lapse of reason, shine on,the division bell and oh by the way.
How come these albums are so underrated, sure there not as good as the wall and there other well known albums but people should pay attention to them as well

Pink Floyd was an underground band in the beginning, when they finally made Dark Side and The Wall, those albums couldn't be topped.....this explains everything.

Like you say...all the other albums should be paid attention too because each album gives another perspective of the band.

I don't think they are under rated but the other works do get more attention of course.
