What's your opinion of it? Can you tell me where I find my merchant key? eBay require it so I can have a checkout on my webpage and I don't know where you find it as I've never used it before xxxx

If you buy something from ebay and get conned and pay with PayPal they refund the cost of the item but not the postage ~ So it's not a total loss ~ Give it a go ~

Paypal does take a fairly high commission, but there's no point in selling on ebay if you don't have it, as that's what 99% of people on there use to pay - it's off-putting when someone doesn't use Paypal.
As for the merchant key, you need to create an account on Paypal first, then you'll be able to find it on "My Account". Unfortunately setting up an account on Paypal is quite long-winded, as they have to do a lot to check your identity and things.

I use PayPal Virtual Terminal to take credit cards over the phone and got a merchant key with that. I don't think you get a merchant key with a regular account as you don't need a merchant account. Give PayPal a call and check with them.

I,ve been with ebay for years an never heard of it? You could go on 'help' an type it in or email ebay and explain, they will answer you withing 48hrs or to be quicker there is now a helpline number but dont know how much that will cost you to call.

i used it when i had ebay and i hate it, i was selling for a bit on there and they had this new procedure where they hold funds until you get feedback, if you received neutral feedback or none you would have to wait 21 days for them to release funds and then another 3-5 days for the funds to be in you account this is a rubbish way to do things as not everyone bothers to leave feedback! a load of bo*#ocks if you ask me! x

Paypal can be your worst nightmare remember that! They steal peoples money with no thought for ruining your business or anything else.
If you've never had trouble with them think yourself lucky and never keep a large balance of money in your paypal account

Paypal is easy and great. all you need to remember to pay is a username and password, not a credit card number, security code, expiration date, name, etc.
