Is there going to be another boy band phase sometime in the future?

Boy Band phases seem to come and go.

First there was New Kids on the Block from the late 80's to the early 90's.

Then there was NSYNC, Back Street Boys, and 98 Degrees from the late 90's to the mid 2000's.

Will there be another boy band phase sometime in the future?

I think there will always be boy bands around whether it's a phase or not.



New Kids On The Block just got back together last year after being apart for 14 years and The Backstreet Boys have been together for 15 years. They started in 1993, but didn't get big until 1997. And ,of course, now there's The Jonas Brothers.



I'm sure there will be more in the future.

Before those bands, we had Menudo, and some of the (better) R&B groups like Boys To Men, New Edition, BelBivDevoe, Toni Tone Tony. In Europe there were even more, like East 17, No Mercy, and others. It goes in phases, and in music classifieds there are always ads for male R&B groups auditions. So to answer your question, of course, it's just a matter of when.
