Who is cooler? Your mom or your dad?

I was thinking about this lately and I was wondering who is usually cooler between your parents?

For me it's definitely my dad. My mom was always so hard and kind of naive in a sense. She grew up on a farm, knew very little people, married the first man she met and the rest is history. My dad however was in a band, had a taste of the sex, drugs and rock n roll era and I could never fool him. No matter what lie I told him he could see right through me. When I was in college they caught me smoking weed. My mom flipped out. My dad smelled it and said: "This is $hit weed" and left.

A couple of years ago I decided that I wanted to go and backpack which my parents weren't happy about. My dad would prefer that I went to college straight away but what can you do. I went and the first thing that happens is that my backpack gets lost at the airport and I get robbed of the little money I had. I called my parents, my mom answered, and again she freaked out. "You come home this instance, you hear me!?".

My dad: "Relax, take it easy. Is there a bar there? Go have a beer. I've found that most things sort themselves while having a beer. I'll wire you some money. It all goes in an instant these days". And he was right. I had a beer, I met some people, including my future girlfriend, and I got my bag back a few days later.

So I got to say my dad is WAAY cooler than my mom. Not saying my mom isn't amazing just different. How about your parents?

Yeah, pops is BY FAR way cooler! Ever since I was a kid he was just so much fun to be around (parents were separated since I was a baby). The dude is funnier than a motherukka, completely down to earth, we can talk about anything, and we started smoking weed together when I was 17. Can't say any of those things about mom...

my mother is more fun, there is a festival HOLI here which is celebrated when summers is starting, we color each other and pour water on each other. my mother would initiate this with spearing color on our face and pouring water on us though we are hiding whereas my father would remain inside his blanket and would get angry with us if we try to play holi with him. otherwise he would tell us many jokes and stories and help us in studies. so this way both my parents are cool in their own different way.
