why can't i change my profile picture?

I already read steps on how to do this but it still won't work. What i did was first went on my profile, clicked on my avatar then clicked change picture in the centre. now I'm looking for edit my profile picture, i read somewhere you click on a upward arrow on the left but theres no arrow. also, when i move my mouse around my avatar and fb it said edit my profile picture but its just an arrow and when i click on it nothing happens? please help if you can.

clear your cache and restart your computer then try again.

Yeah I also experienced issues with the Yahoo pic avatars. However, I recently joined two Yahoo sports teams and was successfully able to upload two new avatars, one for each team, so they might have resolved it, try it again. Or just log out of Yahoo, delete the cache and cookies, and then try it again.

Click on Edit My Preferences, Click on Update Photo,Click on the picture you want to use then click on Use Selected, or Click on Add Photo first.

Your profile has to be set to public.
