What is the meaning of "seven pounds"?

for those of you who have seen the movie, why would they name the movie seven pounds? and what did you think of the movie?

i know this isn't exactly a poll or survey, but you guys always have the best answers. and enough people in this section to get an answer..

i haven't seen the movie, but i know what it's about



basically will smith's character gets in a car wreck (which is his fault) and kills 7 people. after this, he decides that he is going to donate 7 "pounds of flesh" to 7 people, all who need different organs to live. his plan is to find 7 people who he thinks deserves some of his flesh, and that once he decides on the people, he will kill himself and donate his organs.
