I don't think it should be there (I may be the only one).

If this was a chat site then it makes sense. But this is Yahoo! Answers. This is place where you ask question about subjects and get answers. "Adult" cannot be a question category. The questions can be Adult in nature but that cannot be its categorization. It would belong to Love & Romance or Biology/Human Anatomy.



But there should be some sort of restricted access for the under 18s.

Unfortunately that's not such a hot idea. On the Internet a teenager could simply type in that they were born in 1986 making them 20 when in fact that they are like 12 which would entitle them to post on that category. so there is no purpose for yahoo to have an adult category.

No.. I think that there is too much of an easy access for kids to get in... All you have to do is fake your age... this site was made for advice and help... not for your debauchery! if you want that go to some other adult site... not here... I think Yahoo is doing quite a good job trying to keep this site family oriented with the parenting section and more... There is enough perverse things on the Internet and if you want it so bad go to it! OK? It's not necessary... I hope that one day my kids can go on the internet sites like Yahoo and Google and other places and not have to see all sorts of junk to get sucked into... that's exactly what I think!!

No, because the children would just lie about their date of birth when signing up so they could get in. Also, if you need to legitimately know something 'adult' then there are medical terms you can use and you can ask in the health and beauty section. Any other question you want to ask is probably just perverse and does not need to be asked here anyway.

I agree.. somewhere the young ones cannot be allowed. And to properly segregate the questions. Some people here needs to vent out how pervert they could be and I guess only those who are willing to be a victim of this perversion can go to that category. That way, not all of us are victims.
