I recently had an employee working with me that was very lazy and not a good worker. On various occasions many of us have talked to her about issues. So I involved hr today yesterday actually and I told her we needed to have a meeting about her job performance. She responded.... lashed out and said that she was tired of managing my mood.. that she had heard me tear down person after person in the office .... over the last year... that I was just her next victim...in caps letters that she hopes I have documentation of her performance issues because she will be taking notes..... threatnening me tell me she would go into detail about things I have said which arent legit anyways.....and then was straight on the defense. She had major performance issues and ended up backing out on the meeting before we got into it... and emailed my boss saying "realistically I am not going to work under "me"". Ive seen things as theyve been implemented and ive seen enough". My boss then said pack up your stuff and never come back basically. Have you ever had someone personally attack you like this

I work in a factory using a giant 30 foot 400 degree oven to bake glue on teflon fabric to produce tape! Our department is small. We only have 2 people working per shift with 3 shifts! My former coworker on second shift was a new hire after someone else transferred out of our department! The other 4 guys and myself all hated this guy because he didnt care about the job! Working with him was useless! He made a two person job a one person job. Basically it would have been easier to work alone with out him there! He had no work ethic and no respect for our department manager or supervisor! So as my coworker on second shift he had no respect for me as HIS TRAINER! And OH I HAD NO AUTHORITY AS A SUPERVISOR but it was my responsability to train him! One day he did something that was not his job to do and as a result caused major problems! I tried explaining what he did was wrong and as a result he threatened to beat me up! So after that we didnt work as partners any more! I moved to third shift and he spent some time getting trained on first shift with our supervisor! His performance and attitude did not change and only got worse! He showed up late with a different excuse almost every day! Our manager was trying to find ways to fire him, but our HR department wanted more documention! Our manager and supervisor were documenting every little thing they could to use against him when he FINALLY made it easy for them! While we were shutdown for some routine maintenance and cleaning he decided to spend the entire shift building a rabbit coop! He actually thought it was perfectly ok to use company time/tools/and material to build a rabbit coop instead of doing the necessary cleaning! He was so dumb he made the rabbit coop too big to fit in his car! So he ended up leaving it overnight WITH A NOTE SAYING PLEASE SAVE THIS FOR "HIS NAME!" He literally put the nails in his own coffin! When our supervisor and HR finally told him he was fired the only thing he cared about was the rabbit coop! He asked if he could take it home! The answer was NO!

I am not clear as to whether you are just her coworker, or her first line supervisor.

Job performance ratings only come from supervisors. And those are at specific intervals, not just "whenever".

That being said, she cannot say who she will work with, or work under.

She sounds like she is extremely immature, which is unfortunate for her. Sometimes just shutting your mouth is the wisest thing you can do.

There is almost always multiple sides to a story, have I ever saw workers as you described her? Yes. But I have just as often seen people in positions of authority act exactly like she described you. Have seen dislike for another worker get all twisted up into they are not doing their jobs when in fact, they are. Have seen jealousy enter the picture between coworkers who were also friends, and destroy not only the friendship, but also one or both of their jibs. I have seen more females on a regular basis, tear each other up behind backs, but be so nice to their faces that it is scary. As a manager, the boss, it was my job to have inside tracks on this stuff, keep an eye on it, sort of know what the deal was and try to head it off before it blew up. As a dad sitting in the dance center damn near all day, watching the moms, the interactions throughout the day, being a people watcher, i learned some very valuable insights. Even in my younger years fixing air conditioners in office buildings, no one pays attention, just a fly on the wall. I saw the interactions, saw the affairs, the backstabbing. It seems in every group these social politics play out

Perhaps she was right and you deserved it.

Management didnt make their decision in a vacuum. Sounds like you have trouble with people.
