Do you enjoy long road trips?

Road trips that are over 45 minutes make me sleepy... I just got back from one, and the sun was right in my face! But it was nice in its own way... just the passing scenery, the hum of the car, the silence, the blue sky... :-)

To me, 45 minutes isn't a road trip. But I digress...



I like road trips when I am going somewhere I have never been. I like seeing new places and what different parts of the country look like. One year I spent 30 hours one way on a bus headed to the midwest. The scenery I saw was simply amazing. Ohio especially. Going through the valley there was breathtaking! (I'm still mad I didn't have my camera with me.)



Two years ago, I was on a road trip from southeastern florida coast to northwestern florida on the gulf side. The trip was amazing.



Yeah, you could say I love road trips! And I'd love to be able to do it again. There is so much more of this country I'd love to be able to see. I'd love to see other parts of the world too. Wish i had the money to do it all.

I absolutely LOVE long road trips, and it has nothing to do w/ the fact that I have panic attacks when I fly. lol

The only time I'm not crazy about them is when it's for family or work reasons. But if we're talking about a long weekend away, or just a joy ride w/ good company, good tunes & great scenery, then I think road trips are a blast.

Used to love 'em - my ex and I would take overnight trips to non-places, like drive up to Lake Millacs just to drive around it and then home (about 150 miles 1 way). It was pretty fun back then, it's lost it's glam now.

Now that I have my new car I don't mind long trips at all. In fact 5.5 hours used to mess me up for days, now it's no problem.

As long as it is well managed. If everything goes according to plan it's okay. But I hate unexpected long trips like delays and traffic jams.

Yes--we traveled all over the country on vacations when I was a kid--love packing up and heading to some new destination--especially when it's with good company!

yea long road trips with friends allow us to chill and talk about things that are going on and we figure out how to handle certain situations but i like them cuz im always smokin so of that sticky icky

No I hate them. I rather take a plane. Anything over 3 to 4 hrs too long.

depends. if it's really long and the destination is great, yeah! after a long ride in the car, getting into a nice place feels nice. you're right. i love to watch trees and hills and so much stuff go by. it's so nice...

I love long road trips, and I like driving them myself. Will be taking one in 2 weeks to welcome my daughter home from Iraq. (Looking forward to it!)

It depends on if its for work or vacation, for work, no I don't like them, vacation roadtrips are fun.
