I've heard that blood is thicker than water, and I think mud is probably thicker than water too, but which is thicker; blood or mud?

Blood is thicker than water.

Mud is also thicker than water.

Water is not very viscous (viscosity is how "thick" or "runny" something is. Ketchup is more viscous than water.

*Basically, any time you add something to water (in blood, it's the cells, plasma, waste, and dissolved gases among other things) then it is THICKER.

Get a cup of water. Then add a little dirt. THe result is simply muddy water. But when the "dirt content" gets near or surpasses the content of water, you get mud. It will always be thicker (more viscous) than the muddy water. And the muddy water will always be more viscous that the clean water.

mud. blood is not as viscous as water, but its not exactly sludge. then again, if you have muddy water, (dirty water, dirt water), then blood may be thicker, but if you're thinking mud as we all think mud, then yes, mud is thicker than blood
