That's an interesting question. I was just wondering that. It's possible to feel both. Although, someone who answers that many questions must feel really passionate about giving advice or helping people out, so in that sense, it's awesome that they found their calling and will feel honored. Personally, I would feel like I'm a loser only if I do it in a freakishly short span of time.

I have seen some TCs who have more than earned their badges. They share knowledge on subjects they know about and do it for free. It has nothing to do with amount of time here... just how many people feel they really helped and gave them best answer. They are not losers.

I have seen some TCs waste time and not really earn the badges they have. They're not losers, but surely don't belong with badges, either.



I would not want a badge.. it draws attention, like here.

Well there are two ways of looking at it. You can have no points because you know absolutely nothing and spend all your time on here asking for help from people who may know what you don't



or



You can be on here helping people and earning points as you go. The points are meaningless. Maybe we just like helping people instead of being jerks and idiots.

An honor. Becoming a top contributor is based on best answers so it's more about quality than quantity.

I would consider it to be neither. It means that you have some knowledge and you put it into words very well and that you have time to spare. Maybe the question you should be asking is why do you have so much time?

I was a top contribut here a couple of years ago until they took them away from p&s. and i was dang proud of it.. lol but that was back when we could pretty much do what we wanted on here and didn't have trolls reporting us. but that was about ten accounts earlier lol

Actually I would be indifferent to it. And no it doesn't mean you spend to much time on here. Actually you can have a couple thousand points and still be a top contributor. I know. I've had a couple accounts like that. God bless.
