Do you get veteran's day off of school or work?

I don't get Veteran's day off tomorrow..

and I didn't get Columbus day off In October..

I get tomorrow off, for a three day weekend, but the state

of California argued that Veteran's Day should be the day of,

this Tuesday. So my mom has off Tuesday, but my private school

said, well we're taking Monday off :)

what's the great take care of taking the time without work? My son is a militia brat and had to handle my husband and that i the two being long gone on deployment on a similar time. Now that he's older we've taken him to the museum on submit and he understand greater of what we do. He likes to pass rejoice. It provides the kinfolk a time without work to bond jointly. right it quite is what's loopy... election day they use the colleges for polling places (a minimum of in my section) and my baby had the time without work. My son can not vote for a minimum of 10 greater years. we produce different places contained domestically human beings would desire to apply to vote. confident we've a great community and school can accomadate alot and risk-free practices for the youngsters yet they'd desire to a minimum of do a a million/2 day or something.

How many of you are veterans who don't get veterans day off? How many of you have made the sacrifice of being deployed to a war zone for 13 months without seeing friends or family? I am a female veteran and have made this and so many more sacrifices and I don't get veterans day off, so suck it up stop complaining....

I didn't get Columbus day off either, but I have monday and tuesday off! But then I have school Monday and tuesday the week of thanksgiving and wed. thurs. and friday off. My school's got weird schedule planning.

im in 8th grade and from my knowledge i think Veterans Day is on Tuesday wich is why i get the day off on tuesday. and i got Columbus Day off

i go to a private school too, but we get a four day weekend because were off monday and tuesday. plus we get another four day weekend for thanksgiving.
