There are two upcoming episodes with "Brian" in the title (Brian the Closer and Brian's a Bad Father), plus a confirmed plotline where Brian falls for a female runner voiced by Maya Rudolph.
So uh, yeah, "probably" coming back.
Upon further review, look at the description for the episode set to air Dec. 15, "Christmas Guy": "Meanwhile, Stewie comes up with a plan to get the one thing he wants for Christmas."
What could be the one thing Stewie wants for Christmas? Something he'd need a plan for? Hmm... [Could be something completely unrelated, but seems interesting.]

Brian is probably the most well-liked character. I doubt they'd kill him.
