I am fine with same sex marriage but am getting tired of it getting overturned back and forth. I think people are being a little too hard on Miss California, she stated her opinion and even though I do not agree with her it is her opinion and its what California voted for in the last election. I don't think it was a fair question since its so controversial and such a hot issue. Things have some a long way, homosexuality is being accepted more and more and in time so will marriage but many are still trying to get used going against what they were raised to believe in they are not ready to go the whole way and accept marriage.

Even though same sex marriage is out of the ordinary I have no say in what someone does with their life, although it is an abomination under the eyes of God. However, all sin is evil in a sense. But I do not judge people, and people are free to make their own decisions in life--along with the consequences.

Of course. But if something is different, well, kick it under the couch, put it in the corner, lock it up, ignore it and pretend it isn't there. That's America. If something is different, we like call it weird and label it bad. If you're straight, don't marry someone of your gender. Simple as that. Black people look different than white people. Jews and Christians have some different views. Are there laws prohibiting any of these groups of people from being happy and having the same rights as anyone else?

Yes, because honestly, if the hardcore Christians are going to say something about how gays are sinners and going to he*l, why should it even matter to them?
It's not like the gays are turning them gay, or harming them.
And if miss California didn't want to piss off so many people, she should've just said, something along the lines of letting the people in every state vote. That's a neutral answer.

Homosexuality itself is wrong. So that makes same sex marriage wrong. It is an abomination. I didn't say it. The Bible did. And I follow the Bible and what it says. This country is doomed by what it's doing.

I agree with what Miss California said. I'm so happy she stood up for what she believes.
So many people claim to be oppressed in this country, when really they are forcing their opinions and expectation on others. Hypocrites much?

Yes. People should be free to marry whoever they'd like. They claim the Bible says otherwise..but I've yet to find that section.
Either way, church and state is supposed to be divided, so our rules and laws should not be based on a specific religions book.

Yes!!!!
It aggravates me that people I don't nor will never know and the men in their fancy suits and government seats have the right to tell me whom I can or cannot marry. It isn't their business.
Everyone should be allowed to marry whom they choose to marry.
And if someone throws the "oh people will marry their pets" argument I will get rude, because that isn't a logical argument.

To be honest, I could careless one way or the other on this issue. I'm not gay or a bible beater. It doesn't effect me, so I don't care.

YES. It's not illegal to love.....yet. As sad as that sounds you never know what the gov't may do. I honestly dont see the big deal, let people love who they want, it's not your life.

No. People should be aloud to do what they want as long as it doest hurt no one, but we shouldnt have to change our laws to fit everyone's choices. If people vote against it then the government has no right to overturn it.
