There is nothing to be afraid of in the water. Water is just a liquid form, and you should feel safe to return to the water. Sharks live in the deepest part of the ocean, and you won't travel that far, if your starting point is the shoreline of the beach. In rivers, however, it can get nasty with rip currents, and dangerous drops of waterfalls, confined mainly to rainforest's. Now, a reservoir for a dam is most dangerous because the invisible current can suck you into the turbines causing you serious injuries or death, but if you stick with the beach and ocean waters, there is nothing to be afraid of.
