My parents are still around; Dad just turned 74 on October 3rd, and Mom will be 73 on Halloween.

I am 53 years old my birth mother passed the day before my 19th birthday. I have never enjoyed my birthday or Thanksgiving since. My father has remarried and they are both still living that goodness. I am 53 the are both 76. I will be devastated when they pass. I feel very blessed. I thank God everyday. Sorry about your loss if you need someone to talk to I would be happy to chat with you.

I'm sorry about your loss. My Dad passed away, Christmas Day--2 years ago. My Mom is hanging on by a thread, so to speak, in a nursing home with Alzheimer's. However, for as much as I miss them, I feel blessed to have had them for 40 years.

Mine are. but i do have a friend who has lost both of hers in seperate car wrecks I believe. She deals with it by surrounding herself with friends & other family....( I lost my bro n Iraq last year n i learned it helps to talk about him and reflect and cry)
