I mean, I know racist isn't the right word (Anti-Italian - whatever you want to call it).

Set aside the fact it's an ENTIRE week devoted to further encouraging widespread stereotypes against Italian-Americans, Rudy Giuliani, an intelligent and successful Italian-American Mayor, of whom we can ALL be proud, is HOSTING the event. He is NOT an actor, and is NOT a mobster, so WHY should he be hosting it?? Simply because he's Italian, and that means he MUST have a connection to the Mafia.

I find this very offensive! Can you imagine if a prominent Black politician, such as Colin Powell, was hosting a TV event which features films portraying Blacks as gangsters and criminals or other stereotypes?? Or if an Arab politician like Ralph Nader hosted an even portraying Arabs as terrorist??

Do you agree that this is offensive?

You're ridiculous. The Godfather 1 & 2 are classic American movies (the third doesn't count)

You commented on my question, I think you're a ridiculous human being, seriously. I am proud to be Italian and Sicilian, and hear mob stories from my grandfather. The Italian Mafia is a great thing, it's the twisted American dream, and it's here to stay, whether you like it or not.

I'm 99% sure he's hosting it because he's a big reason New York got cleaned up. Before him, it was like a third world country. Meaning that he had some sort of connection to the organized crime world.
