I owned a 1988 Ford Thunderbird, I loved that freakin car. My (now husband) boyfriend tried to fix it, and he had "extra parts." Funny thing was, the only part he replaced was the fan...the "extra parts" were not pieces of the fan. By the time that car was through, it had a cracked radiator, the piston rings were shot, the motor mounts (that I payed the guy TWICE) to install (one was broken, one was bad) were in the trunk, and my sister's looser guy hooked it up to where a tow chain was holding my motor in. Desptie changing the water pump twice, the water pump was broken. Something to do with the thermostat. The handles on the inside of the car were broken off, so you had to roll the window down and open it from outside. There was a P.O.S. mechanic who ran a bypass from my alternator to my egnition (which quickly resulted in me having to replace my egnition and the switch. Before that was done, I had no lights, no turn signals, and no radio. At the very end, we could drive it from our house to work (about 1 1/2 - 2 miles) and we would have to park it for at least 2 hours just to drive it back home again. IT LITERALLY SOUNDED LIKE A DESIL ENGINE!

this is not actual my automobile, yet through default i do really own it. being that it really is my quickly to be ex husband's and this is been living in my driveway for the previous 7 years. it really is a mazda shortbed truck. i imagine the year is 88 or 86. there is not any the front bumper, or grill. you actual see the radiator, and for some unknown stress of nature the front registration code continues to be on. the mattress of the truck has been hit from multiple angles it very nearly sounds like an accordian 1/2 opened. the seats are so threadbare that you're taking a seat on not something yet foam. the dashboard has extra cracks and wrinkles in it than a ninety year previous guy. it really is a stickshift whose in denial that it even has gears. because the truck were damaged into and stolen some situations, it now takes 3 diverse keys. a million in accordance to a door, being 2. and the third for the ignition. this is about 3 diverse hues, gentle blue, gray and pink. i'm purely waiting for the divorce to be very last so i am going to for once and for all get rid of the trailer trash heap.

Drove a seventy something Nova that had to be started with a screw driver, but then again owned a 67 Mustang that the steering wheel almost came off in my hands when the seat slid back by itself at a stop light. If you went over 85 dirt from the trunk would swirl around from the through the empty speaker holes in the back and you couldn't see. Ah, the good ol days.

I would have to say my first car which was a six year old brown - 1977 Volkswagan rabbit (which I had from 1983-1985). I got that car as a hand me down from my dad because he figured considered what he would get on the trade in value - it was just easier to give me that car. But you know what - I still have a great affection for that - my first car - and I will never forget it or the good times I had with it. That car has so many issues - but without it I would have never learned as much about cars - because I needed to fix it often - as I did learn.

I owned a '66 buick convertible, the top wouldnt go up so the ripped seats were always soaked. the car's uv joints were totally shot so ud hear an deep sounding scrape if going over the slightest bump... and, the drivers side door had no hinges and just fell out when opened.
I loved that car!!!

a 1989 oldsmobile cutlass calais. it was blue and the whole top was white.
it broke down many times but after fixing it many times, it got more dependable.
I miss that car, it has been my worse but best loved car.
lol a funny story about it is that the only thing that worked was the ac untill my dog got under it and chewed the electrical wires for the ac.
the first guy that answered is what my husband had when we started dating. it left it on the side of the road a few times. but that car had many great memories made in it. =)

I owned a Chevy Corvair; the worst car ever made. The brakes were weird, and the head gaskets spewed oil even after they were fixed. Yeah, I had two different, certified GM mechanics work on the car. The best day of my life was when I junked this car, which I nicknamed the death trap.

My boyfriend in high school had a hoopty el dorado, and the passenger door didn't stay closed. When we turned right we had to hold the door or it would swing open!
When he first showed it to me, he almost ran me over cause the car wouldn't stop! lol
He was very proud of that car, he paid $150 for it! A whole check! Ha Ha Ha!
I bought a car a few years later that turned when I turned right it sounded like someome was beating a dog (Ar Ar Ar!) And it passed smog before I bought it, but the guy i bought it from took out everything he bought. I also found out the car was stolen from his ex in-laws. I had to contact them, they said just keep it. lol
And when we traded it in for my newer car just 3 months later, we pushed it into the dealership on 2 flat tires and no battery! LOL (Ford escort)

I once had the opportunity to drive a 80 something model Mercedes. Trust me that car at least was more hype that substance. I had a 79 ford mustang at the time ( you know the one that looked like a Honda, boxy, and cheep looking) that mustang of mine rode better and even drove smoother than the Mercedes did.

1973 datsun pickup. My first vehicle, the best I could afford at 16. 2 different colored doors. Pipes so loud that the local Highway patrol actually flagged me in as if I were a plane landing during a routine insurance check traffic block

this was the crappiest looking car but it was as smooth as silk.....it was a 1972 buick electra, it painted green ..with a paint brush, had a toggle switch for the head lights and bad electrical wiring all around but that 454 ran so smooth and for 200 bucks I could'nt expect much more.

a 1984 chevrolet celebrity.....it was suppsedly green but all the paint was chipped off of it so it was like a whitish grey. it also had a bent rear axle that made the tires ride on their edges, so i had to replace them with used tires every 2 weeks. and it had no catalytic converter so it was loud as hell. and the floor was rotted throgh the driver side so you could see the road when you looked down

My dad paid $50.00 for a 1976 chevy cordova long *** boat of a car for me and my sister to drive. We could see the road go by under our feet. It was so huge I accidently sideswiped the car next to me at the high school parking lot. The rich kid had a new red car - I just sped away!
