I had no sound on laptop speakers?

Question

I had no sound on laptop speakers?
1- I had no sound on laptop speakers but did on headphones
2- i restarted the laptop and now both laptop speakers and headphones work
3- the newest drivers were installed for the speakers as i went into device manager
4- all volumes were turned up and none were muted.
5- when no sound was coming out of laptop speakers, i went to control panel and sound and it said speakers were working?

please help, what went wrong and now that i have restarted it, the sound works!

bypass to start - administration Panel and choose Sounds. Tab over to Audio and click the drop down menu. Assign the audio output on your default (sound Card). in case you're dropping your settings you're contaminated with some thing. it quite is user-friendly. John A+ qualified
