WOW! What a rip. I mean seriously, Avenged Sevenfold, great metal name...if your a christian rock band or some kind of wicca occult band...hand flowers in the airport with the other ones.

OK, I really dont have a problem with Avenged and I just like to make fun of the obvious and such...with Avenged and some of this song, it has some moments of glory with the riffs and the hook. They have a look.

But honestly, it seems to me that THIS song is like those other "Rock Bands"...no found glory, and dare say it had a little panic at the disco or if you will fall out boy.

A7X (as their fans know them...LOL) have some moments of true Rock glory. But its like a hint in a mix of Van Halen (w/Sammy Haggard) with vocals towards the pop rock side and Coheed & Cambria the sound of the riffs towards the end.

They have a blend of metal and punk and pop, kind of a hybrid of the three mixed. Overall they're not a bad band. I can appreciate their music for music and appreciate the are a good sounding band. Regardless, I do appreciate music, some more than others. And A7X is a form of metal music.

Ya know, I think Im not a huge fan cause the type of music I like is more of metal/punk and a mix of old school and new....

Mudvayne...Black Flag, Henry Rollins, Rolllins Band...Suicide Commandos, DEVO, The Stooges, The Clash, Suicidal Tendencies, etc...

Yeah and I like Staind...dont ask me why...I have no clue. There I admitted it. And admitting you have a problem is half the battle...GI JOE!

Either way, there are so many types of "metal" these days. You got Death Metal, Hard Metal, Dark Metal, Goth Metal, Glam Metal, Metalcore, Power Metal, Thrash Metal, and the variations on the fringe and all the different styles...it has evolved from Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeath, and many many more....man has it ever evolved.

OH YEAH and to those who say, maybe when they first came out they were metal, but not now...or Their old stuff is legend this stuff is not even close....REMEMBER music and bands change with their evolvement. Without Ziggy Stardust (David Bowie's experiment) we would of never had David Bowie and without Jane's Addiction there would never of been a Pornos for Pyros.

OH and my favorite...without Garth Brooks we would of never had Chris Gaines...and as Garth said...my music is a journey and evolves and even though a lot of my fans like the country and not the rock, thats ok...they are still fans, just not of this part of the journey...but they will be back....(kind of paraphased that a lot). MUSIC EVOLVES and so does the artist.

I guess I am old school and these new bands just don't blow my skirt up. I don't think they hold a candle to bands like Metallica, Megadeath, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Motorhead, KISS, Pantera, Anthrax, and so on. They are entertaining, i guess, but will they have the lasting power of the masters of metal that I just listed? KoRn has managed to last, but they started covering bands like Pink Floyd and the Who. Metal today has way too much of a rap influence. The best new metal band, is Saliva. They took that mix of rap and skate metal and made it something cool, without giving up on their metal base sound.

Don't get me wrong, I like Avenged Sevenfold, but do they have the lasting power to still be talked about in 15-20 year? Or, are they just another flash in the pan metal group?

Only time will tell.

Wow, I hate Avenged Sevenfold! If you think you like metal, listen to Embryonic Devourment, and see if you still say that.
AWESOME!!!

I'm gonna have to say that if you really love Avenged Sevenfold, then you aren't a fan of METAL!!! (Their older stuff, maybe, but not the new crap they have come out with)
