My husband always makes me feel better, but sometimes I'm still left with a lingering sadness. That's natural. I only come to full realization and control of my emotions after reading existentialist literature such as Albert Camus, Fyodor Dostoevsky or Soren Kierkegaard.

Ok - not a person....

but...

this is a bit embarassing but whenever I get home and feel depressed and see my two dogs it just makes me really happy. Its the way they greet you, plus both dogs run around the yard in circles like tornados. and then run back and stand on their legs to greet me...if that doesn't make me happy I don't know what will...BTW - one dog is celebrating his 9th birthday on March 25th - and I hope to buy him the biggest marrow bone the butcher has...

I'm such a lucky dog owner...

My b/f.

He is so sane, and reasonable, and yet always so positive.

He believes feelings should be shared to be dealt with, always listens, and then gives such a calm, rational point of view!

He makes me laugh. He has this quiet, sneaky DRY sense of humor.

Once someone sent me a really vicious, personally vicious e-mail, about family stuff. I was so angry, and so upset that I was just shaking.

I forwarded it to him.

His comments were something like "That was a real eye-opener, wasn't it? Seems plain they aren't going to meet you half-way on this one!" "Glad you sent it to me, feelings have to be shared to be dealt with." "We can try [Plan B] later..."

Bing! Back to rationality for me! His support, and rational outlook just drained ALL the poison away.

P.S. On this site, when some of the meanness, and stupidity, and vulgarity get me down, I run straight to stinky and OFF MY MEDS! :-)) Their cheerful silliness never fails to cheer me up! Thanks, guys!

Moonriver's unfailing sweetness and friendliness never fails me, either! :-))

There are others, as well, whose intelligent, well-spoken answers always revive me! I don't want to turn this into a popularity contest, but I think they know who they are! :-))

ya, yourself. take a look at yourself in the mirror and think what made you unhappy. at times its our actions that cause misery to us. once you know where you have gone wrong you can always make up and be happy again. the ability to accept ones mistakes and correct them is also a divine gift. not everyone has that.

When you are lonely or down, it is because you forgot your purpose in life. We all have at least one purpose. Go to yourself, remember your strengths and goals, and you will feel very happy again. :)
