Here are three major ways people learn their lessons:
Learn by Example = this person learns through seeing how someone else had to deal with a mistake or problem that they had.
Learn By Trial-&-Error = this person learns by actually taking the chance and also taking the problems that come with it, despite what advice they may have been given or seen. They got in trouble before from doing it, so they know better next time.
Learn by Words-Of-Wisdom = this person learns simply through accepting kindly words of advice from someone they trust. They never actually witnessed or knew how bad something turned out for that other person, but just hearing about it was enough to teach them not to do it.
Now keep in mind, that although most people can learn valuable lessons by using more than one, (or all) of the ways I mentioned above, I just want to know what is the ONE way you learn YOUR lessons over the others.
I am a Words-Of-Wisdom guy.
