Do you think I sound quite Un-American when I say I don't care for sports as much as I do education?

From my own observation of being an American this seems to be the case, I just really don't care for sports, they're boring to me so horribly. I do actually care for education though and actually thinking. Does this make me Un-American to you?

How does not liking sports make you Un-American?
Maybe it's where you live, I don't see why a person would call someone Un-American for that

Not at all... I enjoy a few sports, but think education should come first, and I DARE anyone to call ME "Un-American" !!
Guess I got the attitude from my Dad (also a Veteran)... he hated the fact that "athletes" got such huge scholarships while engineering students like himself had to work part-time jobs for tuition and room / board.
What I REALLY dislike is the "business" of sports... I firmly believe in exercise and organized sports for FUN and competition.
Just for FYI... I have a PhD, am a decorated veteran, and compete in swimming and rodeo events.

Nope, I'm American and i'm not a big fan of sports. Lots of people aren't, everybody is different, it just looks like that on the media so people assume that all americans don't care about their education and only care about sports :)

Education is definitely not an American tradition.

No, as long as you still care the most about bacon.
