Question:
Should I sit here and sweat my butt off in order to save $ on my electric bill?

...Or should I just crank up the a.c.?

Opening the windows is not an option, because my asthma is in overdrive today (yes, I know I'm a wussy).

I might add that I took the day off work today.

Well, here in Louisiana it is the dog days of August with the heat index at 110. You need to run the a/c at a reasonable level otherwise you spend too much money trying to cool the place down when you finally decide to turn on the a/c. Also, it's not healthy to sit in a hot house especially with asthma. I have several ceiling fans and they help to lower my energy bill. I also have a kiddie pool in the back yard and throw in a bunch of ice then chill with a cold beer. Works for me.

Crank up the A/C. It doesn't use nearly as much electricity as heat does. I've been running mine just about every day and haven't seen any big increase in my electric bill.

Turn on the fans in your house and when it gets too warm turn on the AC for a couple of hours to cool it down for yourself, then turn it off.

Just go browse around stores and use their A/C.

You don't have to buy anything - just go look at everything that interests you.
