When does it first Snow-where you live?

I live in the Chicago area and the weatherman just mentioned this last night on the news. He said around November 16 is usually the first measurable snowfall. The first snow flurries occur on average occur around October 30.

In Missouri (St. Louis) we usually don't have much snow until Jan. or Feb. Last year we had a big snowfall a little before Christmas, about mid December. Sometimes we get snow flurries in October and November, but very rarely. Back in the early 50's I have heard there was a big snowstorm in early November. Our deepest snows, if they come are usually around Feb. 1st.



Sometimes the temperature stays right about freezing and we get more freezing rain and sleet than snow. That's really bad.

I've seen it snow on Thanksgiving Day. I don't recall a time it snowed earlier than that. I've also seen it snow in April.

If we even get any its usually around January or February!! I think the last GOOD snow we got was a few years back during the ice storm, it left us without power for weeks, p.s. I live in Arkansas

OMG Kansas is sooo gay. It can snow through out the whole year, but it only stick in the winter time. Our first snow that actually sticks is in November I think.
